DC TEEN TITANS HEROCLIX ARRIVE TODAY!

The newest HEROCLIX expansion arrives today at BENT WOOKEE COMIX!  It's NEW COMIC BOOK DAY and along with the latest issues of AGE OF ULTRON, IRON MAN, THUNDERBOLTS, and MORE comes DC TEEN TITANS HEROCLIX!  So, stop in today from 2:00 to 8:00 before they're all gone!

FCBD - THE COMICS

SATURDAY MAY 4, 2013 is the date for this year's FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!  BENT WOOKEE COMIX will be celebrating from NOON to 5:00!  AND we'll be giving away more comics per person than we have before, so get there early to make sure you get what you're looking for!  Follow this link to see to see what some of the books offered this year will be!


We will also be having a special deal on GIFT CERTIFICATES again this FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!  It went over so well last year, we decided to do it again!  More details on this deal when you get to the shop! 

MONDAY APRIL 29 OPEN 2:00 TO 7:00

BENT WOOKEE COMIX will be OPEN MONDAY APRIL 29, 2013 from 2:00 to 7:00!  Normally we're closed on Mondays, but FREE COMIC BOOK DAY is THIS SATURDAY so we'll be getting ready and YOU get an extra day to stop in for cool stuff before the event!

Look for the big "OPEN" flag!  And remember parking is available at the West End Beer Mart!

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY THEN V.O.M.A.'S MAY DAY MASQUERADE SATURDAY MAY 4

Saturday May 4 is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY at BENT WOOKEE COMIX, but the fun doesn't end there!  Later that same evening is V.O.M.A.'s May Day Masquerade Ball!  This unique event is steampunk themed, but dress up however you like.  The only requirement is you have to wear an eye mask.  Don't worry though, if  you show up without one a basic mask to decorate will be provided at the door!  You can find out more info and how to get tickets on FACEBOOK.

After a day of FREE COMICS, FACE PAINTING, and JOHNSTOWN'S SPIDERMAN at BENT WOOKEE COMIX you can head over to V.O.M.A. and get a night of MUSIC, ART, and COOL COSTUMES!

ADDING MORE COOL STUFF TO FCBD!!

One of the featured FREE COMIC BOOK DAY books is a special issue of THE WALKING DEAD published by IMAGE COMICS!   TYRESE (who made his debut on the TV series in Season 3) is showcased in a brand new story not seen before in the regular monthly title.  The Governor, Michonne, and Morgan also have stories that will not be reprinted in the trade paperbacks!

 

And to celebrate the fun of FCBD festivities, Angela of GORY CANVAS (click the link to "like") will be on hand to paint you up as a zombie!
